Some web pages are not loading properly
I am using arch linux. For me github is loading very slow and sometimes web pages are not loading properly. For ex this github repo - https://github.com/adi1090x/rofi keeps on loading and even after loading some images (like the drop down images) doesn't load properly. Only facing this problem with github and no other websites. Tried to go to github on my mobile (jio) and facing the same problem. Anyone having the same problem ?

Day 1 of Linux (arch btw)
Install rofi and copy the scripts you like. Just a 4 examples it can do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8w1i3wAKiw just copy any of the zillions scripts and use them: https://github.com/adi1090x/rofi the advance of using rofi is that if you switch distro/WM/DE you just copy paste your configuration files (dotfiles) from your existing install to the new one and everything will work like they used to work.

Got this X41 at a flea market for peanuts, with its original dock included. One afternoon and a few upgrades later…
I'd warmly recommend to start learning to use rofi-menu + sxhkd no matter which distro/WM you use, because that combo has endless opportunities even if you just copied the scripts already in Github: https://github.com/adi1090x/rofi

Not a fix, but this exists, and might help.

Xsecurelock with rofi-power-menu
I am using arch linux with bspwm, and I want to use rofi as a power management menu as explained in the Arch wiki. So I put rofi-power-menu somewhere in my PATH, and changed the Lock Screen command to be xsecurelock. When I run rofi -show power-menu -modi power-menu:rofi-power-menu the menu appears as intended and everything works fine, except for the Lock Screen option, which gives the following error:

How to make this script work in void?
Using rofi and have added this script as keybind in i3wm. What command should i replace with systemctl reboot, poweroff, etc commands? Can I poweroff, reboot, etc without root?
-
How can I make root commands run without needing root?
I'm using rofi-power-menu for this, but I needed to edit the script, as it only works with systemd by default.

I made a power/command menu script with a timer for Rofi
This is something I have wanted for a while. Previously, I used rofi-power-menu (https://github.com/jluttine/rofi-power-menu), which was totally functional for what it does. However, it doesn't implement the countdown functionality that I want so I finally went through the trouble of making one myself as I haven't found one from anywhere else so far.
