Ready to move music off of Plex โ recommendations?
Haven't tried it myself but Volumio looks like a nice option.
-
Spotify Box
For anyone else who wants to do this, just set up the absolutely amazing Volumio on your RPi or any other computer.
The web app is great for use in your house, the Spotify plugin is first class - it's supported as a target in your Spotify app, or you can browse straight from the webapp, which means even a guest on your wifi can easily pop on and help pick the music.

Any other things you guys use your EeePc for?
I use mine for streaming internet radio to FM radio (via a short-range FM transmitter plugged into the headphone socket) when I'm gardening. I was also thinking of running PiHole on it and/or as a music server with something like Volumio.

Yet Another Audio Rig v.5 | My CM4 audio/3D modeling project.
I have fully working MoOde and current RaspberryPi OS but plan on testing Volumio soon. I have tried current Ubuntu but haven't got the screen working yet.

Airsonic on Raspberry Pi Sonos problems
Sonos integration was never properly merged into vanilla Airsonic. The existing implementation in vanilla Airsonic is broken. Development seems to have ceased on vanilla Airsonic anyway so no hopes to get integration working. Here is the (still open!) PR for Sonos on vanilla Airsonic that was never merged: https://github.com/airsonic/airsonic/pull/1738

Self-hosted music streaming servers that support multiple artists per track?
Subsonic's API doesn't support multiple artists, so I'd be somewhat surprised if the project itself did. Airsonic...do you have anything showing it supports it? All I found was this issue for genres (not entirely the same though) which is still open. I do see jpsonic mentioned there though, it seems like that one might support it?
