    Devs yelling "dont use mods" for a game where people use mods to fix features game lacks (here is one example with features like limiting people's avatars complexity so other people with weaker machines don't get lagged to hel) just shows how hard they are disconnected from their actual audience tho

    On the other hand I also totally get why the community is frustrated with this. Here is just one example of a collection of mods and it's clear to see that the vast majority of mods aim to fix or improve issues with VRC, since the development of the official client is rather slow. It's a classic example of a passionate community fixing it themselves. And as said in the article, there are also a lot of accessibility mods.
