how do i download the unverum for the mods
There’s this link that has a download link at the top that isn’t github. Then as to actually using GitHub if you want to know for future use, I think it should be at the bottom underneath assets generally with the name of whatever you’re downloading rather than the source code files. Here’s a picture I took. Then here’s the GitHub link. Lastly there’s this video which goes through the process really fast

Thinking about making an open source mod manager for Linux?
I've been meaning to look into Unverum. It's open source already, but it's windows-specific. It does work in Linux via Wine, but only barely functions. Was a huge pain to get it running, and it crashes frequently, uses tons of CPU..

Starting Fallout: New Vegas for the first time! Any suggestions, tips, etc?
Nexus Community Mod Manager - https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases (cause Vortex is the devil)

Recommended mod manager?
That said, if MO2's different sort of relationship to third party programs like FNIS or DYNDOLOD gets overwhelming: NMM still exists as open source software and still gets updates. If you use the current version, it's not nearly as out of date or featureless as people tend to assume.

I’m tired of people who’ve never used Vortex complaining about how bad it is
I’m tired of people who’ve never used NMM-CE (the latest version on github) complaining about how bad it is.
- Please help me. I downloaded a bunch of mods for cyberpunk on vortex. I wanted to delete them i want a clean slate and download mods 1 by 1. But now vortex has these folders in the menu. Already uninstalled and reinstalled both cyberpunk and vortex. No idea how to wipe it and start fresh.
- After trying to launch Vortex mod manager for first time I am met with this message, I’ve checked my permissions and ran chkdisk but came up with nothing, any suggestions?

best course of action?
Getting set up for the first time is admittedly a bit of a hassle. I use Nexus Mod Manager to install mods because it's quick and easy. Other people use Vortex or Mod Organizer which you can find with an internet search. My experience with those two mod managers is limited.

Trying to setup mods on new computer through vortex, doesn't think fnis is installed.
disclaimer: I can't stand Vortex, it's insanely overcomplicated in my opinion. MO2 is better. and, I'm the only person who thinks so, but Last weeks release of Nexus Mod Manager - Community edition is simplest and best. idiots who have never used it, or used it 5 years ago, will talk shit about it all day long.
- [FO4] Why is my character invisible when i equip NCR Veteran Ranger armor? (No mods in conflict and i have FOSE)

Fallout 4 on new Nvidia drivers
You're prob. going to need the following mods to get the game playable and stable. You can use NMM Community Edition like me, found at https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager, or use whatever NexusMods is pushing these days.
