Just bought MBP 2018
If the sticky keys come back, you can use software like this to mitigate it reasonably well.
-
Realistically how much would you pay for a 2018 15" with double type keys.
I use Unshaky as it fixes the issue entirely on my 2016 13”. Maybe that could be mentioned to a possible buyer?

US MacBook owners have two months to claim up to $395 over butterfly keyboard
I have an M1 now and it is glorious but back when I had the MBA with the butterfly keys, someone pointed me to https://github.com/aahung/Unshaky and it helped eliminate 99% of the double-typing or ghost keys. You will have to tweak the ms until you find the right number that fits your typing speed but once you get it all setup, the butterfly keyboard will become much more tolerable.
Or.. you could just swap it for an M1. :)

Apple will pay up to $395 to people with broken MacBook butterfly keyboards [Updated] - Class-action settlement applies to buyers nationwide.
In case you didn't know there's an app which did resolve most of the problems for me, when I had the MacBook with the butterfly keys: https://github.com/aahung/Unshaky

2020 Macbook Pro Keys Double Typing?
I believe there’s software for detecting and removing double typed letters. It was developed for people suffering the same issue on butterfly keys. Google for it. Here’s one app example.

My mac 17 intel has keyboard issue, and apple’s free repair period is passed. I get repeated keystrokes. Is there a software patch we can do to ignore the redundant keystrokes?
I found this: https://unshaky.nestederror.com

IT'S OFFICIAL!! New macs coming next week.
If your issue's double key presses, you can install Unshaky, then open the app's settings and set the delay to 40 or 50 ms (depending on how fast you type).

My N key is being entered multiple times on a single press. Looks like there is some hardware problem.

Kernel doesn't recognize keyboard + mouse in Macbook - help
I also found this patch, but I tried installing it and got various error messages relating to the patch being too old/incompatible for the current Kernel.

Keyboard issues - 2015 MBP 12,1
I was able to install very easily, booted into the Ubuntu 21.10 live USB, shredded the existing drive then installed. Everything is working wonderfully, except for the trackpad and keyboard. Can't for the life of me get this thing to work. I've already tried the spi driver installation via git found here, but couldn't get it to work.

Dysfunctional trackpad and wifi card on Macbook Pro (2017) on Linux mint
From the information above from inix and inix -N there are my specs and network specs. To fix my wifi stuff, I have tried several articles and mint threads for installing packages like firmware-b43-installer and also removing other packages in contrast with sudo apt remove broadcom-sta-dkms bcmwl-kernel-source. However there is applespi and I think this is the ticket, but I don't know how to fully install it. Specifically besides installing the DKMS module. I also need to make sure my kernel I believe loads two modules:
