Exploring Windows XP on macOS ARM64
Researching a little showed that this is basically what can be expected running x86 emulation and the systems will just be wonky and slow, although it was running flawlessly, just slow.
There seem to be ways to use Rosetta2 inside a VM [0] to then translate binaries but I found no official support or documentation (using UTM+QEMU that was), this would be such a cool feature, at least there are discussions about it [1,2]

Just wanted to post about "voldeloom", a tool for compiling Forge 1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6/1.7 mods i've been poking at for the last couple months
I know the last time I tried doing silly Beta 1.7 stuff the most annoying load-bearing part was LWJGL2; you might be able to bypass that with this which implements LWJGL2 using LWJGL3 (3.1 only, 3.2 changed some APIs it required). I guess you'd also have to reimplement FML but that's easier than rewriting the game to use LWJGL 3.

You also don't have to have a pc to play Java. Stuff like PojavLauncher (iOS) (Android) exist, allowing you to play Minecraft Java on mobile

Umm pojavlauncher isnt on the Google play store for some reason
Google took it down because in it's latest version, it included Patreon links, which is against Google Plays TOS. If you wish to download PojavLauncher, simply go to their GitHub repository and download one of the latest dev builds. GitHub Repo
