Twidere-Android VS electron-discord-webapp

It's worth noting that Reddit's own app uses their official API. The whole thing is OAuth2. They could have easily just said "Only Reddit Gold users can use external apps" and have avoided all this fracas.

Now, it would take very little for someone to dig around and find the official Reddit API keys (OpenID/OAuth2 client key/secret) and just impersonate the official Reddit apps. I would never suggest that someone do some googling and discover threads like https://github.com/TwidereProject/Twidere-Android/issues/147... where such things are discussed.

Twidere still works great for me, but you have to apply this change (that's easy to do, don't worry)

Twidere and Twidere X are both on F-Droid. Twidere X is the newer version they are working on. Twidere has more setting options though.

I stan WebCord.

I love both WebCord and discord-screenaudio, but for me and a lot of my friends, streaming using any chromium application is a laggy mess, especially when streaming games! In result, I built this extension which feeds audio nodes to WebRTC streams, currently only works with Firefox and Pipewire. I have packaged it for NixOS, but I need package maintainers for other distros too. Anyone willing to help by packaging the native part of the extension or just contributing to the project, is welcome!

Webcord also has this exact same feature I think, but it may be hidden under some command line flags, at least it was when I last tried it (and failed).

You could give WebCord a try. I used it for some time now and I'm pretty happy

I've been trying to find an alternative to discord which is oriented around privacy but not discord on the browser and I've found Webcord (MIT) which seems to be a good alternative but I've recently found another one called Vencord (GPL 3) which has more features but claims to be as private as Webcord.
