Psuedo DIY handbrake using g29 pedal. Generic usb one on Amazon in my country cost at least 200usd, even if I had a friend bring it from US it would be 100usd. I bought an arduino for 10usd and that metal piece done for 2usd. Plus this pedal is a spare one I had lying and from a friend.
Here's the instructions I used. It has everything you need in the available links: https://github.com/JRomainG/Driving-Force-Shifter-USB-Adapter

Connecting USB shifter directly into G923
I would suggest digging into how the USB adaptors for the Logitech shifter work (like this one) to make a kind of "reverse design". You would also need to bypass the current USB controller of the shifter to hardwire the buttons to the Arduino, as AFAIK you can't connect a USB device to the Arduino. You still may need a USB cable to power the Arduino so you may end up with two cables attached to the shifter.
What are some alternatives?
