Automating Java applications with JavaScript?
So for JavaFX the default one is TestFX. If you don't have the source code you probably need to find a tool able to locate them deierctly on your app. 5I didn't check if ti exists). Now for your initial question. TestFX is implmented in Java so if you really want to write you test in JS/TS you have to find a wrapper for your favorite language.

2023 will be when browsers will support GC-based languages in production. Both GC and Exception Handling are already available to various degrees. Being an early adopter could boost Scala's adoption by being one of the first but also the best language in the browser!
GraalVM's Native Image is pretty wonderful, and I'm sure it will end up supporting WASM; just like in the case of Scala Native, this will take some wind away from any other WASM effort; and speaking of optimizations, GraalVM has more resources to invest in an AOT compiler that can do optimizations ahead of time. And because of the “serverless” trend, the community has invested significant resources into native-image resources already. The existence of developments like Quarkus or Spring Boot 3 can only mean that build tools and libraries ready for Native Image will only get better.

Why I selected Elixir and Phoenix as my main stack
In university I learned a bit of Java, so maybe I could use it professionally I guess?. There were many options to choose from. DropWizard, Spark, Play Framework. But the more documented one in the internet I found was Springboot, besides there were some courses in spanish and some friends that knew something about Springboot, so I give it a chance.

Spring Boot 3 - What’s new in Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3.0
If you have an M1 Mac and try to use the paketo buildpacks, it just hangs. You need to use a different builder, see https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/wiki/Spring-Boot-with-GraalVM that's a limitation of the buildpacks, which don't have support for arm64 yet.
