  • Need help with audio routing

Use https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router to route apps to the voicemeeter inputs. For instance, if your Windows default is voicemeeter 1, Route chrome to Voicemeeter 2.

On KDE i can just use my scroll wheel on a tray icon and change volume or screen brightness quickly. On windows those require extra clicks. I can open the tray icon for audio options and quickly change input and output devices and their volume. On windows i can only change output device volume quickly and have to change default output device to change its volume. On win7 it used to present multiple volume sliders for each audio device. I can even choose which audio device each application should use, something that requires a 3rd party application on windows(i think i used https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router).

It got worse since last update (Firefox 92.0), because the Windows Audio process fix did not work anymore. However, I downloaded an .exe called [Audio Router](https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router) that allows to re-route the sound. This is what it looks like before I re-route, when no sound comes out :

  • Problems with looping back sounds
    1 project | reddit.com/r/audio | 22 Jul 2021
Hello everyone! So I'm trying to loop back some audio through a discord "bot" (Secondary login). So far so good, using Softrope as a playback software (I needed something with multiple simultaneous, adjustable tracks, basically trying to replace the player on Roll20 with something that can work with files from my pc). Routed it with an old, abandoned software (https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router). Now I know, I know, Windows 10 now natively supports audio routing, but it doesn't seem to work with this combo. Anyway, I used both VB cable and virtual audio cable, same deal. The thing is, they play back nicely, but it seems that the quality is still not good, how to say.. the bass / the "umf" seems to get lost along the way, still sounds much better when played directly. Excuse my wording, I'm not an expert. Anyway, anyone got a good idea on how to fix this, or a better method perhaps?
  • Man am I the only one who desperately want Dev's to add audio routing for each application natively..?

OP, the SIMPLEST way to this is right here, a small app from github that let's you re-route your audio from each app to any audio outputs you have.
