I haven't tried myself, but maybe using a second window just for the HUD would help with the modal challenge. SwiftUIX has an API for this.

Talking about doing it from the share button? Well, one can already do it using existing reddit apps like Apollo. But there is a great open source SwiftUI app for Reddit called RedditOS
