The easiest way is to use Starscream SDK of 3.1.2 version which completley complies with their WebSocketConnecting protocol. (yep, it’s not new and may have some issues but it works)

is it possible for Push Notifications to update sqlite on a notification outside the app?
I am trying to create a function of an app where the app will update outside the app / even when the app is closed on the background once a notification has been received. Im also looking into https://github.com/daltoniam/Starscream
