You don't need biffing for EE. You can use a mod manager https://github.com/EE-Mod-Setup/EE-Mod-Setup. It's EET for EE games, not BGT.

World map messed up after installing Mod

I'll keep this short. I am a n00b. Felt nostalgic seeing some yt vids of BG and thought why not fire up my last saved game with some mods since I've never tried mods before. Installed Dark horizons BGEE and few others using the EE/EET mod install tool https://baldursextendedworld.com/Install-Tool/
Question about mods

Alternatively if you're on Windows this https://baldursextendedworld.com/Install-Tool/ might be able to download and install all the mods. Otherwise most mods are at Gibberlings 3 (https://www.gibberlings3.net/).
Newish player looking for some recommendations

Yes! I've been using this tool: https://baldursextendedworld.com/Install-Tool/ - You can just pick and choose what you want, it'll help you find dependencies and conflicts, and it'll merge your BG1 and BG2 into a single trilogy. It'll also help you identify the recommended (green) options, and the ones which may make your game buggy (red). There's a few other mods I'd recommend for your second play through, but I don't want to mention them now (spoilers!). For your first run, you can pick up the NPCs and quests if you're interested. The kits are really fun, the shaman fix is a must-have if you're going that route, and I highly recommend the cleric/druid spell fixes + domains. It's not required, but it's fun.
Always go for the eyes! Especially if its a Beholder or Basilisk... No worries, your cosmic hamster won't get hurt, much.

That's what I've been doing, it's a blast. Grabbed the BGT EE install tool for ease of modding and I'm really enjoying myself. It's incredible that the mod scene has been going for 10+ years, the stuff they've put out is remarkable. And yeah, the voice acting is great, it's amazing that they got such talented people on all those Infinity Engine games. I was replaying Planescape: Torment awhile ago and having Rob Paulsen follow you around and insult your enemies never gets old.

Solid recommendation for anyone playing is to use the Enhanced Edition Trilogy mod, which merges all four stories (including the Siege of Dragonspear DLC) into one mostly seamless game. Easiest way to set this up- and other mods- is the Baldur's Gate Install Tool: https://baldursextendedworld.com/Install-Tool/
What are some alternatives?
SwordCoastStratagems - Sword Coast Stratagems (SCS) adds over 130 optional components to Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Baldur's Gate Trilogy, mostly focused around improving monster AI and encounter difficulties, but also including cosmetic and ease-of-use components, tweaks to abilities or spells.
ProjectInfinity - Project Infinity - a mod manager for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition, Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition and Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET).
LeUI - lefreut's Enhanced UI for BG1EE, SoD, BG2EE and EET
NTotSC - NTotSC v2.x.y for BGT, BG:EE, and EET
Tweaks-Anthology - The Tweaks Anthology is a WeiDU compilation of nearly 200 components of cosmetic changes, house rules, and other tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed changes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.
EET - Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET) is a modification for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition that merges whole saga into one game and provides continuity between the events of Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal and Siege of Dragonspear expansion (also for both Black Pits adventures). The name of this this modification probably rings a bell to those who have been following IE modding scene, thanks to the classic mod that inspired this project, called Baldur's Gate Trilogy (BGT), developed by Bardez and Ascension64. While EET remains mostly faithful to the premise of the BGT, it shouldn't be considered a direct continuation of that project. In fact both mods share little to no common code and took different design decisions in many aspects.
