any way to open exe files you arent sure of whats inside?
Another resource editor you can use is Risoh Resource Editor. I use both of these programs to inspect the contents of .exe files practically everyday.

I believe it is in Shell32.dll but it's a resource, not an icon. You'll need something like this to extract it. https://katahiromz.web.fc2.com/re/en/

Need help editing resources linked in System32/imageres.dll
How should I move in this regard? Where can I look for the linked resources? The only partial success has been with RisohEditor, which unfortunately fails to save the changes.
