RespecMod VS TabletopTweaks-Base

Using the Respec mod with the self-imposed restrictions of keeping his alignment, deity, and base stats the same, I'll usually turn him into a Crusader or Champion of the Faith, depending on whether I want him to focus more on his support role or his personal melee DPS.

My must-have QoL mods are Toybox, Respec, and Bubble Buffs. To the point where I will delay updating WotR until I'm sure these three work with the latest patch.

Current releases for BarleyFlour's RespecMod are only found on GitHub, optionally with ModFinder.

Use this mod.

Respec - can be a little flaky at times but AFAIK still the only mod which lets you completely redo your Companions' builds from scratch.

To match his portrait, you can stick with glaives for roleplay flavor or switch to fauchards for better DPS / more crits (also more procs from Outflank). If you like Warpriests, consider adding Tabletop Tweaks which has a number of improvements for WP abilities; plus it adds the Animal Ally feat so a mounted Warpriest is possible (or use the Divine Commander archetype also added by TTT).

Tabletop Tweaks to add a lot of new features and make WotR's ruleset closer to PnP (some buffs but also a lot of nerfs to Owlcat cheese like over-stacking AC bonuses). A number of other modders use TTT-Core to build their submods.

But they have a number of drawbacks too, some of which can be overcome with mods like Tabletop Tweaks (TTT):

After that are the rule-change mods. Note that these create save dependencies; i.e., once you start using them, you'll break any savegames which use them if you later uninstall said mod mid-playthru. My favorite is Tabletop Tweaks, which both adds new features and changes rules to be closer to PnP (mostly nerfing Owlcat's OP cheese); it's highly customizable, though, so if you want to disable the nerfs while enabling the new features, go ahead. But there's a bunch of others: also look up Dark Codex, Way of the Shield, Character Options Plus, and Homebrew Archetypes.

Pyjama tanking might be better, but with TTT's Armored Might it still shouldn't be too bad.
