Recoil VS react-final-form

Atom-based: splits states into tiny pieces of data called atoms, which can be written to and read from using React hooks. In this group, we have Recoil and Jotai.

Atomic libs include Recoil, Jotai, and the one I maintain: Zedux. Zedux especially was designed to work well with sockets and RxJS observables and has been getting some traction recently, so of course I recommend checking it out. Feel free to hmu with any questions.

However you may find better luck with Recoil which is developed by Meta, and is designed to work with Async data, and is a much simpler project to get started with.

Recoil introduced a new pattern for storing state and propagating updates. This atomic model has proven to scale up better than the singleton model at the cost of some hefty learning curves.

recoil is extremely similar to Riverpod but for React (both are backed by a data flow graph).

Before we proceed you can check the project on github. This implementation is for learning purposes, for production use check Jotai or Recoil.

4: Final Form

If you like form libraries, quick plug for Final Form, which was made by the same folks who did Redux Form. It's render engine agnostic (works on react, angular, vue) but has a way better api than formik, and handles custom input components better than RHF.

It's the most popular React library for creating forms compared to formik, react final form, and others, and I use it for all my client projects.

Another library that does this is react final form, but RHF has better typescript support, works using hooks, and has some excellent documentation.

Have you checked out https://final-form.org/react/? Seems like the succesor of redux form. I've never heard of it.

For a forms-heavy application I wouldn't hesitate to pick some popular library, like React Hook Form, React Final Form, or Formik. But for a simple website with a single “Contact Us” form? I'd try to keep things light.

I’ve tried lots of form libraries, but none solve the burden of easy, rapid form building as well as RJSF does.
