My job requires me to proofread a lot of pdfs. Any good hacks/third party tools for moving files between Remarkable and my PC? (Apis, etc.?)
Once you get a chance to review what everyone else has posted, respond here or shoot me a chat. I'm a software engineer, and the file sync API doesn't look at all hard to use based on this (older) article.

Are notebooks synced to the Remarkable cloud like PDFs?
Oh that's nice, yeah I wasn't implying I would reverse engineer it myself. I saw this one by splitbrain from someone's post before writing this post and was thinking I would use that. Anyway that's great to see the resources you linked above, so yeah I should be able to do what I want with this tablet then.

Updating PDF through the API doesn't sync with tablet
Has anyone been able to update a PDF through the API successfully on the tablet? I'm using this https://github.com/splitbrain/ReMarkableAPI and the tablet version is 2.7.0.51
