Just saw this on Facebook. Brilliant solution. Anyone print one of these?
FreeCAD is also a nice open source CAD package that is pretty good. I use SolidWorks and Inventor for my work as a mechanical design engineer and while FreeCAD is not yet at that level, it is pretty close. I always use it for my personal projects. www.freecadweb.org

What software does one use for 3D modeling?
FreeCAD - https://www.freecadweb.org/ Tried doing a project with it and the UI is a bit ugly and the learning curve is pretty brutal 13.6K subscribers on reddit

There are literally no reasons to choose an iPhone over an Android smartphone
Production/media - Ever heard of LibreOffice Draw, GIMP, Audacity, Inkscape, Krita, Ipe, in fact, even CAD with FreeCAD? Plus, unlike "Adobe Creative Cloud," they're all free and you've got total control over them.

I created a logo using Lisp, too :)
Hello, some months ago I presented a revisited Common Lisp logo with this post. After that I wrote a little Lisp program to generate it, with cl-svg, and also some parametric trials with GeoGebra and FreeCAD. Hope you appreciate my experiments.

Is installing from freecad.org wiki safe? The downloader on the website won't start the download
Have you tried freecadweb.org? I downloaded the new 0.20 version from there earlier this week.

I have Sony a7iv. I am shooting Slog and trying color grading
I haven't used either of these personally but darktable and Raw Therapee are two open-source options that seem to get recommended a lot.

Mint Is Amazing - I have a couple of questions.
Is GIMP not an option? Raw Therapee? Darktable?
-
What software is so good you can’t believe it’s free?
Darktable and RawTherapee for editing raw photos.
-
Replicated the Curve Adjustment Editor from GIMP, Photoshop, etc.
Different curve editors interpolate points in different ways. For example, GIMP’s curve can look very different from RawTherapee’s even if points are in identical locations. My component uses monotone interpolation.

Software for Casual/Amateur Photographer
I use RawTherapee and think it's great for my needs. I don't do any retouching except basic spot removal - just color/exposure kind of stuff. Up to date builds can be downloaded here: https://github.com/Beep6581/RawTherapee/releases/tag/nightly-github-actions The release build on rawtherapee.com is a couple of years out of date so it's best to use a dev build.

How are you all syncing photos from your phones? What is your workflow for managing photos?
Second, editing my photos. I use Darktable mostly, Rawtherapee sometimes, and GIMP sometimes. My phone images only need light adjustments, but if I use my Camera (Canon t5) I’ll use GIMP with my Wacom tablet to do things like “teeth whitening”.

About adobe Lightroom and it's worth
I moved away from Lightroom and Photoshop in the last year and started using a mix of RawTherapee, Digikam and GIMP.
