Help my current lack of creativity. This setup is a product of 15 years of “fuckin’ with synths”. Currently need input from peers
Lastly, something I want to start exploring more, is funky ways to sequence stuff. There's a program called ORCA which is more programming than performing (unless you're into live coding!) but it can make some really neat stuff. That YT channel has a video going over the basics, too. Something like that might be more of a learning curve than you want, but I love the idea of obtuse ways to make melodies.

Any programmers here? Curious how people have combined coding and music.
I love using ORCA for generative experimentation https://github.com/hundredrabbits/Orca

In particular - theres a music environment called Orca that is such a great fit for a Roguelike, and porting it to Rust might be a fun medium-size project.

How do I get ORCA to work from the ZIP file off Itch.io?
I've downloaded the Linux zip file from the link above and even after unzipping it and going through those files I can't find anything I'm supposed to be able to open. I've tried checking the MANUAL and the README file on the program's Github but I can't seem to get it going there either.

Crossplay Steam Deck and Steam PC
The fact that the deck runs on Linux only affects one tiny feature: the union terminal does not function. Joining the union requires Discord rich presence to recognize that you are in-game, and that does not function properly with Proton, which is the compatibility layer used to run the game. So, your friend could join the discord server, but won't be able to access any of the union features unless they try a work-around: https://github.com/0e4ef622/wine-discord-ipc-bridge This is such a minor feature though, that they don't need to worry about bothering with this unless they really, really want to. This will not affect your ability to play together, one way or the other.

Clean solutions to Discord RPC on Wine?
This https://github.com/mellowagain/rpc-wine no longer works because Discord Rich Presence no longer uses discord-rpc.dll. And while https://github.com/0e4ef622/wine-discord-ipc-bridge works, it's annoying to have to go ALL the way to the .exe and start it for every single application I want to run; it only supports one at a time and closes itself when the application stops sending RPC. I can make it run along side Steam games fine to alleviate this annoyance, but for non-Steam games I am SOL because .desktop files only support a single system command, which can only contain one application at a time, but since I'd need to run two at a time to make it cleanly work with my non-Steam games, I would need to manually run it for any non-Steam game, making this .exe solution also not viable to CLEANLY solve this issue.

How to combine two commands for Proton gaming?
I have a game that needs me to use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% -novid in order to work. However to get Rich Presence using this but if I try adding it before the launch argument with &&, the game won't launch. However I looked it up on Google and it told me that different arguments are separated by a space. This was apparently a lie, because no dice; simply having the path to the .sh file at the beginning with no && also did not work.
