After 14 days you need an app to restart your sensor (I was using OpenLibre NFC - it can be found here on GitHub, if the link doesn't contain an apk, you can build an apk using the provided instructions. I did, however, downloaded the apk file it via F-Droid)

I like to recommend the Diaguard app for any manual tracking, used it a lot and it does exactly what I needed so far. Once you get a CGM xDrip+ offers a lot of functionalities but can also be a bit overwhelming.
