When is open cumputers gonna update to 1.19?
The major issue on the road to newer MC versions is LWJGL upgrade from 2 to 3, among some other issues. There is a pull request for 1.16.5: https://github.com/MightyPirates/OpenComputers/pull/3572

I am just not understanding
now, if you write component.redstone.setOutput(0, 15)that will output a signal redstone of 15 to the bottom face of the Redstone I/O, also it will print to the last value of the redstone signal, in this case that will be 0 for default. Lookin for a food mod
Well, that was essentially the goal of my mod, Nutrition. I stopped updating it after 1.12, so others have stepped in like Nutritional Balance, Diet, and Nourish.

Hunger rework mods?
Diet is a forge mod that adds a... well... "Diet" system to Minecraft. Like the old Nutrition mod, Diet adds nutritional values to vanilla foods. Like it's predecessor, it's highly customizable, allowing one to tweak nutrition gains and losses, the buffs and debuffs, and all that. Last time I played, the default settings had no punishment for being "unhealthy", but getting enough nutrition to get rewarded was a bloody impossible for someone like me
