you can try using oculess to disable telemetry and maybe even remove fb from the headset if you manage to score a v41 or lower headset and use only oculus link/virtual desktop or alvr or any wireless vr streaming to use it with steamvr

I go the opposite way. I trust a company that takes my money to pay its costs to keep my privacy. As opposed to a company who "doesn't know who I am". (Apart from unique fingerprint https://amiunique.org/ over many queries over many months)
