Fixed loading macOS with legacy boot without Apple Secure Boot: there is a new PE (Portable Executable) loader that broke legacy boot, blocking the loading of legacy drivers as HfsPlusLegacy and preventing OpenCore from booting on legacy systems when Apple Secure Boot is disabled. With this fix, legacy boot can work with or without Apple Secure Boot. This issue was detected after version 0.8.8 was released. While you are on 0.8.8, you must download the new versions of the drivers HfsPlusLegacy and ExFatDxeLegacy (the one/s that are necessary), available in Acidanthera. This is not required if you are on OpenCore 0.8.9.

In the Drivers folder just have OpenRuntime.efi and HFSPlus.efi, if you don't have HFSPlus.efi anywhere you can get it in the Drivers part of the Acidanthera OcBinaryData repo

If you don't feel like mucking about with OpenHfsPlus anymore, you could always just use the HfsPlus driver. I think it comes straight from Apple's closed-source EFI for Macs.

But for now when Im trying to start MacOs install from clover it doesn't even load to UI, it stucks (-v argument is included at startup). I cant share this efi folder because this is efi folder on a disk that I cannot access through windows.

From what version are you updating? First thing to check is to have the Resources folder up to day. Download current folder from OcBinaryData. Replace your current Resources folder with the downloaded one.

A couple of things from your config.plist: Your ACPI patch for Change _OSI to XOSI should have Enabled set to True per the guide. Suggest you remove SMC*.kext files for the install. They are not needed an can be added afterwards. No USBmap or USBInjectAll kext? Your SMBIOS MacBookPro16,4 is not on the recommended list? Change OpenHfsPlus.efi to the HFSPlus.efi

I made this bash script that partitions and formats an attached USB key and uses rsync to copy GibMacOS Catalina installation files to create a macOS Catalina USB installer to build a hackintosh using the Opencore install guide.

I made notes about the method I used to make a working USB installer from months ago. Those notes now don't work anymore despite using the same macOS on the same hardware and Opencore version??

The main difference was I put together the steps to partition, format and add the macOS Catalina installation files I got from the Gib-MacOS tool to the installation USB key entirely in Ubuntu. This is the script I made although that version doesn't include the rsync command to add the other installation files into the SharedSupport folder in the hfs+ partition on the USB installer. After all that I got an installer that works and I have Catalina on one of my drives. so my method did work previously on the same computer it now doesn't work on.
