YouTube in Android introduces UI bugs
NewPipe [1] and its derivatives like Tubular that include SponsorBlock (and dislikes, but I don't use this feature) are also great.
They let you follow channels and build playlists without a Google account play in background.
You can find those apps on F-Droid by adding the relevant repositories.

In your comment you said "the first video taken down from LTT", which is not true.
Yes, this might be the first video removed for _one specific reason_. This also might be the first video where he broke external links policy[1]

YouTube is returning 403 to NewPipe and other 3rd party players
They're apparently going hard this time, no known way to play anything anymore.
Playing on the website without an account still works.

Google has been blocking Invidious with error "This helps protect our community"
I had interpreted the news as affecting all users of the other tools. Found https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/11139 with very few comments so I don't get the impression it's affecting NewPipe specifically as yet.

Well, I'm not a part of the ReVanced dev team, but if you want to get it working on your phone, I would suggest filing a ticket on the GitHub issue tracker. Just make sure to provide as much detail as possible in your report so that the developers know where to dig. Even though I'm not a ReVanced contributor, I am a software engineer and I can't express strongly enough how annoying it is when a customer's ticket says nothing other than "it's not working for me."

How do you create a Patch for youtube On PC to download on your phone

Yes for now you have to download the apk of the app you want to patch from apkmirror

Anyone know why this happens? It happened to my reddit and youtube. (Screenshot from reddit patch, but something similar happened to yt)
As far I know, split apk support has not been merged (see here) just use full apk in the meantime.

YSK: Firefox on Android can play videos and audio in the background and with the screen off
Go to github and download the YouTube revanced manager. You'll also need what's called vanced microg Then download the YouTube apk from apk mirror. Make sure to just download the apk and not the bundle. Then open the revanced manager app and select your YouTube apk to patch it.
