What are the benefits over NeoBackup ?

"Anytime someone puts a lock on something you own, against your wishes, and doesn't give you the key, they're not doing it for your benefit". However, people seem to like it. The sorry state of Android Backups
NeoBackup should be decent if you're digging for an OSS solution.

With root access the Neo Backup app is great: https://github.com/NeoApplications/Neo-Backup/releases/. Yes, I tried it on WSA too and it works.

GitHub - mrrfv/linux-android-backup: Back up your device without vendor lock-ins, using insecure software or root. Supports encryption and compression out of the box. Works cross-platform.
I'm tempted to switch to a Google Pixel phone with GrapheneOS but for now I couldn't find any alternative to Neo-Backup, which requires root.

What are peoples favorite free and open source software
Tachiyomi/TachiJ2K and Komikku are what actually got me back to reading manga again. They're just nice really nice apps for reading manga. Kinda a shame that the anime/movie/tv/videos counterpart isn't open-source.
-
what's your favorite app why did you choose it and what does it do?
I use it's fork tachiyomiJ2K which is in my opinion better than tachiyomi.

What is the one app you cannot live without?
It uses Anilist (an anime tracker website) to watch anime and keep track of your watchlist so you never forget where you are on a certain anime! It has a manga feature too but honestly, use TachiyomiJ2K for that

Can Pirated comics (in CBR format) have same Kindle App experience?
If you use android, give a try to Tachiyomi, it's an open source Manga / comics reader. Personally, I'd use one of its forks, Tachiyomi J2k, it has a better UI. If you want marvel, DC, graphic novels, image, etc, you'll have to install one repository called ReadComicOnline which is on the list they provide.
