You’re so close! You need to install the BootNTR Selector app on your 3DS. If you follow the instructions on the GitHub for bootntr selector, you should see that you also need to be using the Luma3DS 3GX Loader build instead of the latest Luma release. Once you are booting the loader build of luma and have bootntr installed, launch bootntr selector and then select one of the three options (I’m not sure which one is right, but I did 3.6). After you select one, you should be booted back to the 3ds menu. From here, bring up the Rosalina menu (L+Down+select), go to miscellaneous options, and then turn on input redirection. Now you should see the ip of your 3ds. Enter this in ntrviewer and presto, you should be up and running!

Hello. I'm trying to stream my pokemon Sun playthrough with Snickerstream. Works like a charm but for some reason NTR 3.6 keeps crashing every 15 minutes. The screen freezes, I can still hear the sound and all other buttons become unresponsive so must restart the console by holding the power button. I get this error for a second before it turns off. Using Luma 12.0 (and 3GX Loader build 12.0 to make BootNTR work on that version). Not using custom plugins, themes, cheats or anything else, just the Snickerstream NFC patch for NTR. I tried restarting the game every 10 minutes to ensure there's no memory leak and did more than 10 test streams but NTR crashes every single time after 15 or 16 minutes. What's going on? Anyone else with the same issue? Is there anything I can do?

Is pokemon Sun incompatible with BootNTR and causes some kind of memory leak over time?

NTR Boot Selector doesn't work with the latest "official" luma version and for this, you need to use a special luma version that enable 3gx plugins, you can download it here, just replace the boot.firm and the boot.3dsx from the root of the sd card, everything will work fine as normal

Try using this version of Luma boot.firm and see if that resolves your issue with BootNTR.

you can use YANBF to install them as 3DS software instead of DSiWare, just note that there's a limit of 300 total icons.

if you download the rom to an NDS game, you need/can only use it in Twilight Menu. Twilight Menu is a bit slow on loading times, but it also has a bunch of emulators packed into it, allowing you to play the rom files of games from any console/device that it recognizes, provided the file's in the right folder. if you want to have an NDS game show up on your home menu, you can use an app called NDSForwarder. it allows you to make up to 40 forwards/shortcuts of any NDS roms you have in your sd card. if you want more than 40, you'll hae to use this https://github.com/YANBForwarder/YANBF . it took me a day or three to figure out, so just ask for help if needed, but it does have instructions for use.

I'm trying to find software to create an nds forward that has support for a widescreen patch. I have tried both YANBForwarder and NDSForwarder, both of which say they have widescreen support, but after following the listed instructions and installing their respective widescreen patches, I got nothing. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take? Is there another software I could try?

I used Yet Another NDS Bootstrap Forwarder on my PC to make home-screen-installable forwarders. Although it shares file structure with twilight menu, twilight menu is not strictly necessary.

Forwarders are also a nice way to play nds games directly from the home menu like native apps
