    Also if Windows, clock with nvidia-inspector and if while mining nvidia-smi says P2 mode then get NVidiaProfileInspectorDmW fire it up and scroll down to section 5 and the Force P2=>off then the GPU will rage up into P0 mode like if you were gaming (sometimes, not always, higher clocks). Then once that's set, do clocking. Since nvidia uses clock offsets, but the base-clock for P2 and P0 are sometimes different, if you clock up in P2 and exit the miner the driver briefly spikes the card into P0 mode on its way to P8 (idle) and will crash it or lock up, etc. If the P2 and P0 stock base clocks are not different, then unlocking P0 doesn't really matter so much.
