I was looking for a way to use custom cursors for my Mac when I came across a cool app called Mousecape that allows you to do just that. Unfortunately, there isn't a strong community creating cursors for it so I decided to give it a crack. You can snag the files here https://github.com/obatola/mousecape-hand-cursor.

Another suggestion: I just started using it recently but Mousecape for customizing your macOS cursor. I'm currently using a KDE Breeze theme and it looks and runs pretty well.
