Dynamouse: Mouse driver for big Mac studios
As others have mentioned, there's quite a few options, and I use mos (https://github.com/Caldis/Mos) for no particular reason. It does the same things as any of the alternatives, I just found it first and stuck with it since.
- No Bing, no Edge, no upselling: De-crufted Windows 11 coming to Europe soon

Mac Mouse Fix: Do the things you do on a trackpad. Without a trackpad
It looks like this competes with Mos.app[0]. Honestly, I'm not sure how folks use non-magic mice without this.

An Open Source Mouse and Trackpad Utility for Mac
Not to take away from this app, but I’ve been using Mos (https://mos.caldis.me) for a couple of years now and it’s been just enough to mitigate the faults I had with default mouse settings in macOS.
personally i prefer this one https://github.com/Caldis/Mos

Some Orbit questions (scrolling, bearing noise, button chording)
About smooth scrolling, on Mac I used MOS but nowadays I use LinearMouse. Maybe you can get something similar with KensingtonWorks or other app.

MX Master terribly Issues on Macbook Pro M2
Had the same issue. Disable smooth scrolling in LogiOptions+ in macOS and install MOS.

Closing your MacBook hardware disconnects microphone, safety/privacy feature
MOS [0] is also pretty good, if you like smooth scroll.

Native macOS fix for applications hiding under the MacBook Pro notch
> * I discovered a free, native macOS solution that doesn't require installing Bartender or any other additional apps.*
> You can adjust the values from 0 to 6 to accommodate even more icons. Personally, I found 6 to be a good fit.
It's ultimately a really petty point - but this is not a fix. This increases the number of apps on the top bar before the problem occurs. Bartender (and hidden[1] - which I discovered in this thread) fix the problem. Calling a technique that delays the problem "a solution" after sneering at a project that actually is a solution just rubs me the wrong way.
The open-source Hidden Bar is my current solution to this problem, but I think I prefer this native fix.
https://github.com/dwarvesf/hidden
brew install --cask hiddenbar
- Tell HN: macOS Bartender disables features, forcing users to buy license again
- Show HN: Menu Bar Calendar on macOS
