I am working on a Linux native Mod Manager.
It's exciting to see someone else try to tackle the same problem as me. Approximately a year ago i also attempted to implement a mod manager for Linux, but the progress halted a bit when i got satisfied with how i could mod STALKER Anomaly (plus some other errands which ate up my time).

I attempted to create a generic mod manager
I've seen that case insensitivity is a big deal (which is a shame, but i guess that is due to different name handling on *tux/Windows. Luckily it isn't the worst problem to handle, and can be followed here
So i gave it an attempt my self to create Mod Buddy, with a combination of Python and QT.
You know, this idea grew a bit on me. I won't make any guarantees of if/when, but the issue is created here

Cannot get skse to run skyrim with M02 mods activated
What does Loot say when you run it? Does it confirm that you have the versions of everything right?

How is there not a one step mod solution for a basic vanilla+ setup?
Add LOOT to FNV's root directory and run it to sort the load order
Tools you probably need: - ArchiveInvalidation File Generator - LOOT

Load order optimization for Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout games, etc. - Any hope?
Tried LOOT (both the exe through wine and compiling from the source - the former can't find the games or the AppData dir it wants, no matter what I enter, and crashes if I try to --auto-sort from the command line, and the latter fails miserably because I'm not a programmer and can't figure out how to get the exact libicudata.so version it wants (.56 to Mint's .70)) and Vortex through Lutris hangs on first run, so never actually installs...

Does everyone need to have the same mods installed to connect? (UI focus)
Yes. All your mods should ideally be the same, installed in the same order, contain the same MCM settings, have the same patches applied, etc. I'd highly recommend using Mod Organizer 2 as your mod manager and LOOT to optimize your load order. I believe MCM Recorder can also make the process easier if you guys want to make sure your MCM settings stay the same everytime you launch the game, but that is more optional and up to you.
