Setting up your own static webhost with MarkdownSite
I made https://markdownsite.com/, it's the type of web host where you put a git repo in and you get a website hosted.
The entire thing is open source and can be found on https://github.com/symkat/MarkdownSite

Start Self Hosting
I've been working on https://markdownsite.com/ - the "Git Repo -> Website" type of hosting platform, and have completely opened sourced it so others can run it themself.
The installation and on-going configuration management are first class things, with documentation and graphs: https://github.com/symkat/MarkdownSite/tree/master/devops

Self hosted DNS solution
Although not selfhosted maybe https://desec.io/ ?
-
What are you all using for dyndns?
https://desec.io/ been using it for years and they keep adding features/improving the interface, not bad for free basic usage
If you discover malicious content, please let us know at support AT desec.io and we'll do our best to investigate and, if terms are violated, remove DNS service for that domain (see §5 of our terms, https://desec.io/terms).
my new toy is https://desec.io/ absolutely great and free atm, it supports ACME DNS-01 challenges, wildcards, DNSSEC, HTTPS and TLSA records to optimize http2.

I've created a solution for managing internal domains, how do I selfhost this more?
Less cloudflare? You can simply use a different provider to manage your domains and transfer over for free. https://desec.io is excellent and can be used with any domains and with lets encrypt wildcard certs.
-
Reverse proxy / App firewall choice with Lets encrypt
There is no need to switch the FQDN. If your current domain registrar supports changing the nameservers of your domain then you can create a managed dns account at desec.io. This way you would only have to export and import your dns zone.
