How can I easily update nvim on Ubuntu LTS
I have written a shell script to pull a nightly appimage from the github. I no longer use it, because I use Nix now, but I hope it still works.
-
What is best way to update appimage?
You can write a shell script to update a particular appimage. I did that for neovim nightly. https://gitlab.com/LongerHV/.dotfiles/-/blob/master/scripts/get_nvim.sh

How did you guys replace ALE?
I have replaced CoC with Neovim builtin LSP, but I use null-ls for diagnostics and formatting. Here is my config for reference: https://gitlab.com/LongerHV/.dotfiles/-/tree/master/.config/nvim

[plugin woes] Any vim-lsp-ale alternatives for built-in lsp client?
I did find nathanmsmith/nvim-ale-diagnostic but it is abandoned; and I'm not sure if it accomplishes what I want.
-
How did you guys replace ALE?
I didn't replace it, but started using https://github.com/nathanmsmith/nvim-ale-diagnostic instead. With a few tweaks works quite well, but long term I'm planning to move to null-ls and/or efm.

Out of the box lint and format settings?
To use it with nvim-lsp you will need nvim-ale-diagnostic
-
[LSP diagnostics query] Is there an way to toggle diagnostic visibility in real-time?
I just use this plugin and toggle ALE itself.
