  • How to find desired ACPI device address and proper value for acpi-calling specific setting?
    2 projects | /r/linuxquestions | 11 Oct 2021
My laptop (Legion 5 15ACH6H) has three power modes defined on hardware level. I would like to be able to switch between these modes from OS. Here is described how someone managed to control these modes on IdeaPad https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo_IdeaPad_5_15are05, but my Legion laptop doesn't follow the same ACPI structure. I've found also this article https://github.com/MatMercer/lenovo-power-manager, but after extracting and searching trough acpidata there are not even the hex values present in my case. Can I somehow detect what hex value I have to send to what ACPI address? On Windows switching these modes can be done by Vanage software, or this open-source tool. Both tested and working.
