KlipperWrt VS zerotier-openwrt

Hey guys, I've been following this tutorial for converting a creality wifi box to run klipper: https://github.com/ihrapsa/KlipperWrt

On a Laptop, log into the Printers Wifi (It will be named CXSWBox-12345678ABCDEF or similar), the password is "12345678". You will get an IP address via DHCP. The Wifi Boards web interface is reachable at 10.10.10.254 with username "admin" and password "admin". Go to Administration > Upload Firmware. Choose one one of the -factory images at https://github.com/ihrapsa/KlipperWrt/tree/main/Firmware/OpenWrt_snapshot, depending if you want to run fluidd or mainsail (Comparison is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHVVcjtWTyA). Upload the image, you will get a message "Not a valid firmware". Go to http://10.10.10.254/adm/system_command.shtml and enter mv /var/tmpFW /media/mmcblk0p1/cxsw_update.tar.bz2 and for the next command reboot. Then wait for a KlipperWrt Wifi to show up. Connect to it, use the static IP 192.168.1.23 with netmask 255.255.255.0. The web interface is available at 192.168.1.1:81.

I recall that Android phones are unreliable for Klipper with all of their built in power saving features that will interrupt prints. Any device that runs Linux should be able to run Klipper. A VM on a Mac or PC should be able to do it as long as you can reliably forward the virtual serial port. Running on a router is possible with KlipperWRT. https://github.com/ihrapsa/KlipperWrt

I bought an Ender 3 v2 for my son as a birthday a couple of weeks ago, it came with the Creality cloud box (as a free gift). The cloud box was promptly flashed to OpenWrt and Klipper installed using guidance from https://github.com/ihrapsa/KlipperWrt.

Hi, any chance you could be a bit clearer with this? I'm already running zerotier client on the 2nd network router (the 4G router which runs OpenWRT), and I've set it up as per the wiki instructions I linked in my initial post https://github.com/mwarning/zerotier-openwrt/wiki . On which device are you talking about virtual NIC settings?

I followed this guide to setup ZeroTier on my OpenWRT router. Everything works fine except for the fact that my ZeroTier nodes? are not using my OpenWRT router connection as gateway to Internet.

i know this question probably belongs in the zerotier subreddit but there are way more people in this sub so i figured at least 1 other person here knows how to solve this. so i run openwrt (actually helmiwrt) on a raspberry pi 4 and followed these instructions on how to set up zerotier. and this honestly sounds like an awesome thing to have but i can't get it going yet. i got my zt0 interface up and it has an ip address, i made the managed rule within zerotier, did the firewall exception and even selected "allow default route" but soon as i connect my internet goes down. i can however, put in my ip address to my media server and reach that but thats it.

So after setting up Zerotier on OpenWRT (https://github.com/mwarning/zerotier-openwrt/wiki) I was able to connect to my local network and access my nas and my android tv server (don't ask).

I have set up a GL-Inet Beryl MT-1300 (latest Firmware) with the zerotier package. I have opened port 9993 and created an interface as per the tutorial on Home · mwarning/zerotier-openwrt Wiki · GitHub
