Help setting up RSS
Rp1 quick install on ckan Here’s a link for ckan I have two ksp files inmodded and modded It’s good to keep the un modded separate in case of failure or update faults. https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/releases
- Kopernicus - Failed to load Body: Ceres: Missing non-optional field: ParallaxOptimized.Subdivide.subdivisionRadius

I'm trying to install the waterfall mod. Are these files all i need? They are in gamedata folder, are they correctly?
Use CKAN, a great way to install mods easily and their requirements automatically : https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/releases
- Is CKAN still used?

What are the best mod for KSP ?
The easiest way is through the CKAN Mod Manager, which will have most mods in its repository, complete with compatibility checking, auto-installing dependencies, and easy updating. CKAN will also link you to the KSP forum page for each mod, so you can check compatibility notes, bug fixes, and the like.

Just finished downloading from Steam... today will be my first time playing the game!!!
If you want to install mods I recommend using the CKAN mod manager. Modding manually is fairly simple if you prefer (just drag mods into GameData folder) but CKAN makes it easier to keep them updated, and it will add any dependencies or track conflicts between mods.

I am working on a Linux native Mod Manager.
The best mod manager I have ever used is ckan, consider extending it to cover other games. At the very least take a poke around at how it works and steal some ideas from it.

I have some problems with mods
Note: CKAN (Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network) should handle dependencies for you. They can provide a much better experience when working with mods. Their user guide is here.

How is there not a one step mod solution for a basic vanilla+ setup?
Add LOOT to FNV's root directory and run it to sort the load order
Tools you probably need: - ArchiveInvalidation File Generator - LOOT
-
Load order optimization for Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout games, etc. - Any hope?
Tried LOOT (both the exe through wine and compiling from the source - the former can't find the games or the AppData dir it wants, no matter what I enter, and crashes if I try to --auto-sort from the command line, and the latter fails miserably because I'm not a programmer and can't figure out how to get the exact libicudata.so version it wants (.56 to Mint's .70)) and Vortex through Lutris hangs on first run, so never actually installs...
-
Does everyone need to have the same mods installed to connect? (UI focus)
Yes. All your mods should ideally be the same, installed in the same order, contain the same MCM settings, have the same patches applied, etc. I'd highly recommend using Mod Organizer 2 as your mod manager and LOOT to optimize your load order. I believe MCM Recorder can also make the process easier if you guys want to make sure your MCM settings stay the same everytime you launch the game, but that is more optional and up to you.

- I don’t have much knowledge about modding so I’m looking for some guidance on how to replace vanilla weapons with modded ones

Fallout Tale of Two Wastelands on the Steam Deck
