The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

It's still pretty finnicky to configure and it hasn't emerged from alpha yet, so its future isn't exactly secure, but I'm hopeful as they appear to be investing a lot of resources into it and adjacent projects, e.g. the kotlin-react library.

You can use kotlin-wrappers to write React applications or one of the Kotlin/JS frameworks.
  • KotlinJS and State Hooks
    3 projects | | 9 Mar 2021
useState part of React Hooks for state management is something that even Javascript and Typescript engineers struggle with from time to time. We are going to reduce this struggle within the React ecosystem using KotlinJS and the ever incredible Kotlin-React library.
  • Migrating our Kotlin/JS app to the new IR compiler
    2 projects | | 9 Mar 2021
Together with some colleagues, I maintain a small full-stack web application called CodeQuiz, which we built during a 48-hour hackathon at JetBrains, and use at events to gamify learning about Kotlin. I recently migrated its frontend which you can see below (and which is using the kotlin-react wrappers) to the new Kotlin/JS IR compiler backend.
  • Global Applying Kotlin Styled CSS
    1 project | | 26 Feb 2021
This won't apply the style just yet, first we need to inject it into the Kotlin-Styled global setter. Without causing confusion and to abide by SRP we can create the handler function for this directly in the stylesheet. Doing so will allow for all the styles that are in the GlobalStyles to remain private.
  • Injectable Kotlin Styles
    1 project | | 23 Feb 2021
Reusing components is no easy feat for newcomers, it can take a deep understanding of various frameworks and patterns of development. When building a generic style systems that can change the look and feel of a component in most web frameworks, they are normally created in a separate .ccs or .scss file. These styles are then imported where needed, but what if you wanted to keep it all in the same language? While there are quite a lot of examples around this scenario, the same cannot be said for the incredible Kotlin-Styled framework.
