JKSV VS ftpd

Installed JKSV saves manager on the hacked switch and backed up all of the saves on the switch. Make sure to save a copy of these game backups in case anything goes wrong. JKSV created folders for each of the games on the SD card.

I don’t know how to get the save from the Wii U though, that you’ll have to research.

This reentry guide section has steps for migrating, since it migrates your SX OS EmuNAND over if you have one and your SysNAND is completely unaffected by the change in CFW, I'd presume that moving saves would be unneeded, however if you want to be on the safer side, you can always back up your saves using JKSV or another save backup tool of your choice.

I personally use JKSV, which is something you run on the Switch to dump your saves to the SD card so you can extract it using either DBI or just through the Hekate payload's USB tools

The way I do it is by installing this program. The 3ds homebrew website (found here) has a very easy-to-follow guide on how to install the program if you haven't got it already. Once you are inside of the program it's very easy to understand what to do - I think you just press A to make a new backup and Y to restore and existing one, or something like that.

Use FTPD for quick file transfers to the 3DS over wifi without the need of removing the SD card. Available in the Universal Updater app.

You'll need a PC with an SD card reader to hack your 3DS, but after that you can either keep using the SD card reader to transfer files back and forth or install an FTP client on the 3DS that you can use in conjunction with FileZilla on the PC to wirelessly transfer files.

FTPD: Allows you to wirelesslt access your microsd cards file without having to take it out. Grab the nro from this link - https://github.com/mtheall/ftpd

FTPD is like microSD management but for old 3ds. It comes in handy when I'm on my laptop and don't have my SD card reader.

You can download ftpd from the homebrew store or directly from https://github.com/mtheall/ftpd/releases download ftpd.nro and put that in switch folder on your sd card.

If you’re playing on a cartridge, use Checkpoint to back up the save. If you’re playing via TWiLightMenu++, the save will already be on your SD card. Then just copy the save to your PC, with either an SD reader, microSD management, or ftpd. Then do whatever save editing you want to do and transfer the file back. For TWiLightMenu++, just put the save in the original location, and for a physical cartridge, you can restore the save with Checkpoint.
