JBOPS VS WebTools.bundle

Tautulli for monitoring and notifications, plus some scripts for "maintenance," such as killing 4K transcodes and stopping remote streams after they've been paused for X minutes. These are from the JBOPS repository.

Unless someone has already created what you're looking for (JBOPS/reporting is a good initial place to look), you'll probably have to write something yourself that makes calls to Tautulli's API.

You can use the Plex API to bulk lock/unlock fields, including posters. It looks like this script that utilizes Python-PlexAPI should make it fairly easy if you're familiar with running Python scripts.

Set up Tautulli and use the kill_stream custom script to stop playback when someone attempts to play 4K content (or if direct play is okay, when someone is transcoding 4K), though you again need a Plex Pass, since the ability to kill remote streams also requires a Plex Pass.

Read this to get a better idea of how to use the scripts.

Next, download the script. Go to the github page, go into the right and click the button that says raw, then right click on the next page and click save as. It should save as a python script.

If you don't want to go the separate library route and you have a Plex Pass, you could install Tautulli and use the kill_stream custom script (install instructions here) to stop playback when it detects 4K is transcoding.

Yeah, the old plugin-based version is still around and offered similar functionality, but with plugins being deprecated, WebTools moved to a standalone service.

Sorry, but since plugin's are been depreciated ( Ref: https://www.plex.tv/blog/subtitles-and-sunsets-big-improvements-little-housekeeping/ ) the UAS is sadly dead, which I also announced on the webtools.bundle github repo a long time ago

If that's not the case and they're just disappearing completely, then you might have to resort to tools outside of Plex to find what's not getting scanned in. There used to be a Find Media tool that was part of WebTools, but it apparently doesn't work anymore (probably because Plugins were deprecated almost 4 years ago now, so most are broken). If you're comfortable running a random Python script from someone on the internet, I created this script several weeks ago that can scan your local folders and compare it against what Plex shows in your library. It's not pretty and was written quickly, but should get the job done.

There's the FindMedia tool within the WebTools bundle.

The second one would be to use the "Find Media" functionality of Webtools. Even though Plugins are discontinued this plugin should still work. You might also want to check the Webtools-NG which is the successor of the integrated plugin.

You can still install it just fine. I use WebTools to install it (even though it's no longer being maintained) but just manually placing it in your plugins folder should work. It's still configurable using the plugins tab in the server settings and trakt-for-plex.github.io.

Long answer, yes. But you'll want some tools. Webtools for a web UI approach or Python-PlexAPI powered scripting approach.
