    It may give you apocalypticaly messy results, but I recover files for money and I've never seen it Not working. I've wrote a python script to try to sort the recovered stuff before you do the fine-grained work of looking exactly for what you want. It is missing a README, but the -h option is there and the header comment explains how to have it running.
