I've been working on GitJournal as an alternative mobile client for Obsidian. I'm still working on proper graph support and auto-completion, but it integrates with Git and you can follow your links / back-links.

I've been working on GitJournal for quite a while now. It even has alpha Desktop (Linux + Mac only for now) support as well. I recommend grabbing the latest build from the CI for Desktop.

I've been working on GitJournal. It was meant as only a journaling app, but has morphed into a mix of journaling and note taking.
I started not thinking it would make much difference. But more than 6 years later, I have to admit that a simple little habit can have a big impact on a life. [Advice]

The breakage on the Linux side of things is almost always dependent not on the distro but what kernel version the distro was shipping. I spent over 6 months in the community testing and working with other community members in the issue tracker and the version of the kernel used often would have an update break Electron (the UI backend based on Chromium that allowed the app to work on multiple platforms as it does). See here: https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/issues/3114 . That's definitely old but there are plenty of new Linux issues that are heavily similar that the developer just doesn't have the resources to fix on his end since he's still primarily solo on the project with small contributions here and there or Google Summer of Code stuff.

Is MediaWiki possibly overkill? Something as simple as Joplin might work just as well for you.
