Daily work journal/note-taking app suggestions
It crossed my mind to do a daily Jupyter notebook but I typically don’t need them to be interactive code. The closest solution that I’ve found looks like: GitJournal does anyone have experience with this or other solutions?

Ask HN: Apps that are built with Git as the back end?
GitJournal comes to mind, "Mobile first Markdown Notes integrated with Git".

ZK access via mobile phone?
If you are working with text files and git, gitjournal works well for me. It defaults to Markdown, but if you just edit in raw mode, you can do anything in the text file.

Blogging from my phone with GitJournal
I've been searching for a while for something that would let me simply publish from my phone. I actually saw GitJournal in the Play store a couple of times, but I assumed it would only use GitHub to back up its own proprietary file format and so be useful.

Best site/programm for creating documents
There are plenty of desktop/mobile apps for working with markdown. (I've been using Notable (desktop) and GitJournal (mobile ) for an Evernote-like experience.) And markdown is often extended with support for internal links like a wiki, attachments, diagramming (see Mermaid), and easy export to other formats like HTML.

Custom CSS not working properly
I wanted to apply this theme (https://github.com/Zettlr/Zettlr/discussion/3211) to my Zettlr, as these preset themes are kind of an eye sore. But, while it changes the toolbar and surrounding menus, it does not apply any changes whatsoever to the editor.

Why note-taking apps don’t make us smarter
I can't recommend the Zettlekasten Method enough: https://zettelkasten.de/introduction/
You can do it with index cards or you can use software to practice the method and grow your note collection. I now prefer Zettlr (https://www.zettlr.com) after using Joplin (https://joplinapp.org), which are both FOSS.
One of the core strategies of the Zettlekasten Method is to link notes to each other. That's how knowledge grows: connections and synthesis (internalization/application of the connections)
Here's a 3-year-old video on the method that serves as a good primer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFZHuWLA09M

Notion alternative: AppFlowy vs Outline vs Affine?
I discovered recently [logseq](https://logseq.com/) and it's beautiful. I use quite a lot Zettlr for taking notes on concepts and ideas but I have to say that logseq has become my starting point for daily, short, notes and tasks. I need to work on an integration with Zettlr however, I like the possibility of the latter to organize and connect the texts, especially convenient when writing essays.
What are some alternatives?
obsidian-calendar-plugin - Simple calendar widget for Obsidian.
logseq - A local-first, non-linear, outliner notebook for organizing and sharing your personal knowledge base. Use it to organize your todo list, to write your journals, or to record your unique life.
nb - CLI and local web plain text note‑taking, bookmarking, and archiving with linking, tagging, filtering, search, Git versioning & syncing, Pandoc conversion, + more, in a single portable script.
Trilium Notes - Build your personal knowledge base with Trilium Notes
obsidian-dataview - A data index and query language over Markdown files, for https://obsidian.md/.
obsidian-export - Rust library and CLI to export an Obsidian vault to regular Markdown
notable - The Markdown-based note-taking app that doesn't suck.
marktext - 📝A simple and elegant markdown editor, available for Linux, macOS and Windows.
QOwnNotes - QOwnNotes is a plain-text file notepad and todo-list manager with Markdown support and Nextcloud / ownCloud integration.
obsidian-pandoc - Pandoc document export plugin for Obsidian (https://obsidian.md)
Joplin - Joplin - the secure note taking and to-do app with synchronisation capabilities for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
obsidian-releases - Community plugins list, theme list, and releases of Obsidian.
