FutureRestore-GUI VS odysseyn1x

People here keep saying Futurestore is unavailable for Windows, only Linux or Mac, but I am finding installers for Windows like FutureRestore-GUI-Windows-1.98.3.msi here. Am I missing something?

Download VMware Workstation and Catalina.iso and install MacOS. Here you can find Catalina iso https://ibb.co/NmzzSM5 Then download Futurerestore GUI and install it. Off course you set the right nonse. Click download futurestore. Click Blobs Click Target Ipsw I used this as options, https://ibb.co/7ndkjqz And Click Start. Be patient and you get back your iPhone up or downgrade without losing anything. 👍🏼

I had previously saved blobs for iOS 15.4.1, and after restoring rootfs (without enabling OTA updates), I used futurerestore-gui v1.98.2 to update the device. The computer I used was a 2021 Macbook Pro 14" running MacOS Ventura Beta 7.

Where I’m from it’s 2am and I’m already half asleep so my advice to you is, download both 15.7 and 15.4.1 .ipsws to get them ready, check futurerestore-gui github, and, if you understand completely what’s documented there, backup everything important (not a full itunes backup tho as it probably won’t work on an older version than the one it was created) and try to downgrade using 15.7 sep. Use checkra1n if u have a Mac or Linux if u have windows use odysseyn1x if u prefer a semi untethered jb use chimera + ChimeraFix and inject chimerafix deb with sideloadly. I can confirm from experience that these two methods work great and are extremely stable. Also, another jb called Freya but I haven’t used it so I cannot confirm it’s stability. I used the latest ISO image of odysseyn1x and from there used checkra1n to jailbreak my ATV via USB-C cable. The jailbreak finishes without reporting any error and reboots my device.

Isn't odysseyra1n something for iPhone? Anyways, i checked the github for something called odysseyn1x which seems to contain odysseyra1n. I see there's an iso for amd64. You would download that an load the ISO to a flashdrive using something like BalenaEtcher to accomplish this. However, doing it from the live environment might not work due to storage limitation(i think) during the live environment. Do you not have another computer where you can flash this?

You need a live USB to use Checkra1n and install Odysseyra1n. You can create one with the Odysseyn1x distro. Install it on the USB stick with Rufus, boot from this USB stick, jailbreak with Checkra1n and install Odysseyra1n.

If you're talking about checkra1n, you can make a live bootable Linux USB with either checkn1x or odysseyn1x. Otherwise, we would need to know what iOS version you're on to help you further.
