FutureRestore-GUI VS futurerestore

People here keep saying Futurestore is unavailable for Windows, only Linux or Mac, but I am finding installers for Windows like FutureRestore-GUI-Windows-1.98.3.msi here. Am I missing something?

Download VMware Workstation and Catalina.iso and install MacOS. Here you can find Catalina iso https://ibb.co/NmzzSM5 Then download Futurerestore GUI and install it. Off course you set the right nonse. Click download futurestore. Click Blobs Click Target Ipsw I used this as options, https://ibb.co/7ndkjqz And Click Start. Be patient and you get back your iPhone up or downgrade without losing anything. 👍🏼

I had previously saved blobs for iOS 15.4.1, and after restoring rootfs (without enabling OTA updates), I used futurerestore-gui v1.98.2 to update the device. The computer I used was a 2021 Macbook Pro 14" running MacOS Ventura Beta 7.

Where I’m from it’s 2am and I’m already half asleep so my advice to you is, download both 15.7 and 15.4.1 .ipsws to get them ready, check futurerestore-gui github, and, if you understand completely what’s documented there, backup everything important (not a full itunes backup tho as it probably won’t work on an older version than the one it was created) and try to downgrade using 15.7 sep. Blobs are a .shsh2 file that is used to submit a request to Apple to restore/update to an iOS or iPadOS version. It’s basically Apple’s signature for iTunes or idevicerestore (a library for restoring Apple devices) to go ahead and install an update to your device. Normally this is just a thing that happens when your device is in recovery mode. This process can be faked and taken over, however. A computer program called futurerestore (https://github.com/marijuanARM/futurerestore) can use those .shsh2 blobs to fake that in ways that I can’t personally explain, but it does. You can also save these blobs if you’re a jailbroken user, which makes it possible to restore or upgrade to certain iOS/iPadOS versions after Apple has stopped giving those signatures itself. For example, if you have saved blobs for iOS 14.3 and you’re on iOS 13.7, you can update or restore to 14.3 today, even though the versions that are signed at the moment are iOS 14.4.2 and 14.5.

Your iPhone needs blobs to restore/update/boot(?). Apple only gives (signs) blobs for the firmwares they want you to be on (the latest versions). When you save a blob, you can use a 3rd party program, like FutureRestore, to use them blobs as opposed to having apple give you the blobs, they are saved locally, instead of being generated by apple's TSS server.

There isn’t any problem using latest sep and baseband on futurerestore v194. I, and many others on r/jb discord have used it and it’s restored just fine
