Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Has anyone used one of these?
Come on over to /r/hotasDIY. Best thing to do would be to get an STM32 Bluepill, get a 2 axis joystick from Adafruit (MPN: 245), get a breadboard (MPN: 4539), and some jumper wires (MPN: 1956). Then you can flash the Bluepill with Freejoy firmware and set it up with their configurator, no coding required.

Leo Bodnar alternatives
FreeJoy is a nice firmware for a game controller, but the used "Blue Phil" (STM32F103C8 ) boards very poor - build quality, components.
-
Could someone please explain this to me.
Similar - FreeJoy, but for STM32F103C8 - 'Blue Phil" cards, even more cheap.
- I saw lot of people showing their simpit. so heres mine
- poor CK37 Panel based on FreeJoy
-
What is this, and why are you running? (II, 8 months revision)
7: Software: Will use Freejoy in a custom made "blue pill" that sits in the handle. More on it later.

Achievement unlocked. When VKBsim praises your DiY work
No, the joystick base has a gimbal with hall sensors (no wear) and it's fully analog XY sensing. It also has a hall analog twist axis built in the upper handle. It runs FreeJoy firmware on a custom shaped bluepill (STM32F103C8T6). It gets fully identified as a usb joystick and works as normal. It can accept about 25 direct buttons and 8 analog axis, or up to 256 buttons using an array with diodes (that's for simpits, I suppose).

How do I use mmjoy2 on a raspberry pi pico?
You can find mmjoy here.
-
I got it for $2
The next thing in line is a button box but it is collecting dust for about a year now due to lack of time. This one will use Arduino and MMjoy library (btw MMjoy wiki is a good source of information).
- Any way to use a VKB grip or Thrustmaster grip without its base ?
-
Are you envious of those custom button boxes and, like me, you don't know where to start? Shortcuit is a Kickstarter for a game which teaches you circuits and programming for Arduino.
IMO MMJoy2 makes it pretty easy, and the thing I wish I had a game to teach me is 3D CAD and how to everything about 3D printers.
- Would it be worth gutting the board out of an X56 throttle and putting in my own board?

How to get started with a AT32 pro micro and MMJOY2?
This should help, in case you haven't found it already. As far as I know it's an unofficial translation of the original repo. I was able to set things up using that link and the installation guide that can be found on the announcement post by Sokol
- i want to make a ground-up custom Hotas but know nothing about programming and very little about electronics. . is there a plug n play system out there or do I need to learn this stuff?
