Another thread requesting help with Flash...
I'm stubbornly sticking with classic, period, until the end of time. However, you might have some luck with this or this. Read carefully, consider what you want to do in regards to your browser, your browser's ability to work with flash, etc.

The last two updates to G4 stated that support for plugins like flash have been re-enabled but I'm not able to figure out how to actually get G4 to recognize that I have flash installed.
So far, I have found FlashPatcher, a tool that removes the kill switch from Flash Player 32.0.0.465, along with links to the installers.

customization 'stuck' on UC pet
If you have a way to get access to a desktop computer that can run a browser that still allows flash and/or run a program that will remove the "time bomb" from flash player and use the "classic" (flash) based customization, you'll be able to dress up your pet normally.

Hey guys! What do we do about flash player to play games? Adobe did that weird update where we don’t have flash and they recommend we remove it immediately for security (yikes) I really wanted to play some of the other games, but I’m stuck in this poop situation :(
Options are 1) various workarounds to trick Flash into working on your computer, 2) run this GitHub program to remove the "time bomb" from Flash on your computer*, or 3) Use a browser that will still allow Flash, I've heard one called PaleMoon recommended on this subreddit.

Just got back on Neopets after a year, what happened?? Can I change it back??
I was able to get Flash working for me on my desktop PC without messing with time settings by using this github program, but I will probably have to go to an old browser eventually once Firefox ESR starts actively blocking Flash.

ULTIMATE Guide to flash player in 2021! (two methods)
If you want the nostalgia of playing in browser, then you'll need a flash-enabled browser, there are three of them. Palemoon, Basilisk, and Waterfox. Let's go from worst to best. First off, Basilisk browser is based off of Firefox 52 and it has very old HTML. Which do not hold up to new HTML standards and it gets security updates every 4-7 months. Palemoon browser has an old UI but don't let that fool you because it has been updated as often as firefox with HTML improvements and security updates. However, the team behind Pale Moon has been slacking off recently, web pages are begging to break. Such as spotify, and google meets. Finally, Waterfox, Waterfox is based off of the current ESR. It gets as many updates as firefox and has modern HTML standards. I highly recommend you either get Waterfox. Palemoon and Basilisk are good browsers, but not as your primary browser, like Waterfox is. Flash player has been removed from adobe's download page, but can still be accessed here, through the internet archive. Run the installer, but at the end press "Never check for updates" (just in case Adobe decides to pull a fast on us). However Adobe planted some code in Flash that makes it not work after January 12th. To remove this "timebomb" you need to patch it with a program called Flash Patcher, get it here. Before you start, you need turn off Windows Defender temporarily, or whitelist it when it warns, as it is a false positive. Once that's done, open FlashPatcher and press "Defuse the bomb." You're done! But, if you're tech savvy you can follow these next steps. Occasionally, you will be asked to uninstall flash player, if you want this to stop happening, go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash. Once you’re there, you should see two executables, two DLLs, a file called mms.cfg, and some other stuff. If you see this then you’re on the right track. Delete "FlashUtil32_32_0_0_465_Plugin.exe," this is nothing important, just an uninstaller. Done! Now it won't ask you to uninstall flash. More, you say? Well, here's some more stuff. Additionally, if you want to have slightly better compatibility, performance, less glitchyness, and no tile splitting, do the following. However, this is going to increase vulnerability, so be careful. Enter about:config in the URL bar, then bypass the warning. Search for dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode, set it to true. Next, search for dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash and set it to 0. Use your own best judgement, but, let's be real, most people who are going this far, just to play flash, are probably really smart. Most sketchy, illegal movie websites (which probably would have some sort of viruses or adware) don't run on flash video anymore, and probably use HTML.

Waterfox and Basilisk are browsers that still support Flash. You can install Flash with this https://github.com/KuromeSan/FlashPatcher/releases or use this old version of Flash https://archive.org/download/flashplayerarchivedversions2/357/fp_32.0.0.344_archive.zip

Good flash emulator for walfas?
A true emulator would be something like Ruffle or Lightspark. Ruffle I know doesn't work well with Walfas last time I checked. I don't know about Lightspark.

Flash game to Html5 converter
lightspark, a browser plugin written in C++. It's a work in progress, not every flash content will work. Modern mainstream browsers don't support running it within a page, so flash content needs to be run in a standalone lightspark app, or in some lesser known browsers.

How and where do I tell CMake where my C/CXX compiler is?
I'm trying to install lightspark on my computer, and it hinges on launching a shell script that mainly executes a CMake command. when I try ./build.sh (the name of the shell script), I get a bunch of lines of errors. The first one I think is major is CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.23/Modules/CMakeTestCCompiler.cmake:69 (message): The C compiler "/usr/bin/cc" is not able to compile a simple test program. This makes me think it tries to direct to some sort of default C Compiler or C program to compile, then doesn't work as I have in some place failed to clarify what C/CXX compiler I'm using. Additionally, at the end of the errors I get Tell CMake where to find the compiler by setting either the environment variable "CXX" or the CMake cache entry CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER to the full path to the compiler, or to the compiler name if it is in the PATH. With this, I tried to find some place to put my compiler path, in the Lightspark repo itself and in the CMake files, and I've been unable to find anything. The manual seems to go more over options for the CMake command itself as opposed to setting things up beforehand; I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for. I'm more or less at the end of my rope for this specific issue, help would be appreciated. Thank you

What "legacy" software are you still forced to use in 2022 that you wish would die?
I'm having alot of fun with this post actually. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some alternative or workaround for whatever you guys need to run. For example, instead of the clunky Java, we have this. Instead of Flash, try this

I know flash is dead, but is there a safe extension that will allow me to listen to these submissions from somethingawful.com again? i'm on a nostalgia kick and these came from a simpler time. I just want to hear them again.
Ruffle has been mentioned, Lightspark is another one.
What are some alternatives?
