It's explained on the website, basically bypasses those link shorteners that artificially make you wait and gets you to the actual url you wanted immediately2 projects | reddit.com/r/privacy | 20 Sep 2022

WCIF Fantasy stuff
2 projects | reddit.com/r/sims4cc | 10 Jul 2022
Dansimsfantasy is great! He's on TSR and he has a wixsite, but do use caution when downloading his stuff. He tends to use link shorteners and adfly. But if you use UBlock Origin and FastForward, that should help. Also consider installing DuckDuckGo for extra padding, but be aware that it might cause some glitches with incompatible sites.

fastforward.team linkvertise bypasser2 projects | reddit.com/r/ROBLOXExploiting | 26 Jun 2022
https://thebypasser.com/ and fastforward.team are good linkvertise bypassers, just dont download exe files from them and make sure its .txt or .lua, also log in and out from your accounts and change your passwords as the exes might have cookie logged you and when you log in and out it makes the cookie expired.
Lamenting What AppImage Could Have Been

As for why MS never did something like this up until recently (Windows Store) it's anyone's guess... Nevertheless, this hasn't stopped third-parties from doing something along the lines of what I've described above.
How to bulk download images from a list of urls

Neither of these will give you wget however. You'll need to install it yourself, and you'll need to install it the way your emulator needs you to. In the past I have used a package manager called Chocolatey: https://chocolatey.org/
Windows alternative for Linux commands.

Chocolaety is probably the closest you'll get aside from winget. You can create your own private repo for it as well. By default all the public repo's host is the install scripts, part of the install scripts downloads the releases from the application websites themselves (so installing firefox pulls the firefox installer from Mozilla's servers as an example).

Windows doesn't have an official Package Manager yet, but Chocolatey is your safest bet.

I have removed most of the preinstalled applications, even the MS Store itself (if I need to install anything I just use Chocolatey), I also disabled Windows Defender and set most of the services to manual.
