Applying a tech research cost multiplier to a Seablock run
Using a planner like YAFC, Foreman, Helmod, and Factory Planner is highly recommended. Also, the following mods are recommended for a megabase needed to finish a high-multiplier game:

Havent played for a while, what are the best QOL mods?
FactoryPlanner or Helmod - Helps designing production chains. Quite complex at start, but well worth it. Factory Planner is the newer and cleaner design.
-
Space exploration calculator???
I personally use the Factory Planner mod because it has some nice in-game features like automatic blueprints from the calculation.
-
Can someone briefly explain how I should calculate ratios?
I mostly use Factory Planner and Max Rate Calculator.
-
I spent 34 hours designing this 2-2 balancer. What do you think? I'm quite proud of it (Pyanodons)

my spread used to make my builds
There is a mod for that, and a mod for that, and a website for that, and another website for that, and a standalone application for that for big modpacks like Seablock and Py

First S.E. run and WOW it’s a bit intimidating - this is how I visualized all the intermediaries/machinery for Utility Science
Using a calculator for Vanilla is pretty convenient or when playing modded, Factory Planner helps a ton.
-
Got overwhelmed by Rocket science packs in SE
i really hope you don't play SE without Factory Planner or a similar mod because that just sounds like pain
- Mod to calculate how many assemblers a full belt will support?

How do you like to plan your factory layout?
But I do a bit of planning for individual outposts/subfactories just to get a sense of what the ratios are, and I use the Factorio Planner mod (or Helmod) for that. And I use Rate Calculator (or Max Rate Calculator) nice for measuring stuff. And I'll admit to having a spreadsheet for calculating reactor ratios.

Fresh meat to the grinder
Planning tools/mods come in many shapes and sizes. I personally like Helmod but it took a while to learn it. There is also Factory Planner. Or external tools like Foreman or YAFC.

(Space Exploration) Am I the only one who finds it impossible to plan out a build without a clear visualization of the production chain like this? And why is it impossible to find charts or tools like this?
Adding one more: Foreman
I assume a tool like Foreman which loads Factorio data could theoretically load another game's data if it's converted to Factorio data.
