Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Anyone actually using Unreal on Linux? Or other game engines? What do you recommend?
-There’s a flatpak called Epic Asset Manager (is also on AUR), there you can install the engine itself, you can download assets or even games from EGS (although for games I prefer heroic launcher)

[Linux] Install Official Linux binaries with Epic Asset Manager
EAM 3.6.0 was just released with a new way of installing Unreal Engine on Linux.
The recommended way of getting Epic Asset Manager is through flathub so if you want to give it a go, try that route.

Setting up Unreal Engine 5 on your Linux Desktop or Steam Deck
Epic Asset Manager is working to use official prebuilt binary instead of using Docker image/UE source code (#201) so I hope that remove the require to link Epic account with GitHub account.

Unreal Engine is now available to download for Linux
Are you referring to this Epic Asset Manager?

[Guide] How to install Unity in a unsupported distro using Containers
That's all for now. I didn't test how unity works because I have no experince with Unity but hopefully this guide is helpful. Also I will write a guide soon about how to install Unreal engine without compiling from source using containers. Spoiler alert: by using Epic Asset Manager [EAM](https://github.com/AchetaGames/Epic-Asset-Manager) which is far more simpler

Unreal Engine 5 Megathreaad
The issue with community driven flatpak for Unreal Engine is complicated as you cannot distribute the Engine without users first agreeing to the EULA, the best I can offer you now is to have Epic Asset Manager, seal it up with Flatseal(it is deliberately open right now as the projects and engines are on the entire drive), and install the engine with it, which would put the Engine inside the flatpaks sandbox. It is not ideal but would work.
Well in that case do not compile from source:). Use Epic Asset Manager and with couple step(set up the github token) you can download the precompiled Unreal binaries from Github Image Repository and use that. Also fixes your Marketplace issue, and for Quixel, either use the Bridge directly or try it with the Bridge plugin in Engine(kind of buggy).

How is Linux support for Unreal Engine?
Epic Launcher doesn't work on Linux but various workarounds like Heroic, running it in Lutris or using Epic Asset Manager exist, none of them offer a completely seamless and pleasant experience comparable to Windows though.

So You Want to Ship a Command-Line Tool for macOS
This is really specific, but for this point in the article:
> There’s a long guide on Embedding a Command-Line Tool in a Sandboxed App, so I followed that, and then slowly, painfully, factored Xcode out of it, so that I wouldn’t have to figure out how to get a 10GB Xcode install onto the CI machine (remember, you need to be signed in to an Apple ID to download Xcode, and there’s no way to do it from the command-line).
You could actually solve this with Rust and no Xcode whatsoever. cacao [1] and cargo-bundle [2] will produce an app bundle you could sign/notarize/distribute without needing to ever open Xcode.

A new open-sourcing project launches!!! A declarative, compose-based and cross-platform GUI
I've had basic animation support in cacao for about a year now, but I don't think anybody even realizes it.

Library Concept for Interoperating with Objective-C - Seeking Feedback
But I will reiterate what I say on many posts like these, which is that it would be even cooler if we could stop having a million projects reinvent this wheel - and I say this as someone who wrote a large Rust library that is backed by ObjC. madsmtm has an ongoing effort to put together a best in class ObjC Rust wrapper, which would be great to see even more support for.

What bindings do I need for making a modern Windows 11 GUI?
MacOS; I have to call the AppKit API. I can use a library like this which offers Rust bindings for AppKit - otherwise I can write my own maybe?

Can I Use Rust For IOS Development?
Yes, you can: https://github.com/ryanmcgrath/cacao

Yet Another macOS bindings library
This is not meant for making apps.. If you'd like to make apps use cacao instead. I am only working on this library in my spare time in hopes of getting to learn more about the FFI between Rust and Objective-C/Swift. So far I think FFI is very exciting :)

AMA: How we built Warp, a Rust-based terminal
Hmm, I maintain cacao. The Objective-C interfacing has always felt like there's multiple projects reimplementing the same thing - ultimately really curious to see the UI framework once it's out!
I maintain cacao, which does exactly this. :)

evdi - Extensible Virtual Display Interface
