Manjaro is a free and open source Linux operating system that emphasizes privacy
Worth noting that Manjaro has had a somewhat tarnished reputation, which has been widely covered before but it's still worth mentioning.[1]
I used to recommend Manjaro to people as an alternative to Arch that's a bit friendlier, but I stopped after trying to debug an issue and realizing that they have overcomplicated a lot of things (kernel management in particular bugs me in Manjaro.)
Arch now has some kind of installer, so I guess that's an improvement. Though, I really wish Valve could package something like SteamOS 3 for regular desktops. I'm aware of multiple projects that do similar things, but the execution on Deck is quite good. The "immutable" concept is certainly going to be an important part of Linux on desktops in the future, probably in different forms.

There is no arch installler there are community made ones but even like https://archlinuxgui.in got a cease order from arch cause the devs believe in soft gate keeping its part of the arch fundamental philosophy

is Arch Gui and Arch the same?
As far as I can tell from a quick look at the site archgui seems to just be a GUI installer for vanilla arch.

What goes into maintaining an Arch system?
manjaro is a completely different distribution with different repos, and not all AUR packages are guaranteed to work with manjaro if manjaro doesn't supply the right dependency versions. if you actually want an installer like that for arch linux, use something like this: https://archlinuxgui.in/

Anybody installed Linux mint 20.3 on Asus TUF Dash F15?
I ended up reinstalling Linux Arch KDE Plasma Edition via the graphical installer https://archlinuxgui.in/ and everything worked perfectly out of the box! Steam also installed without any problems (enjoying Steam requires activating the "multilib" repository in /etc/pacman.conf ). The only problem I noticed is that compared to Windows, the laptop heats up significantly more in the area where the SSD and WiFi adapter are located.
- I'm thinking of switching to Arch from Windows, do you think I am ready?
