  • google docs has weird spacing between letters? | 2021-10-06
Unfortunately I don't have a solution for you. But I suggest try copying and pasting a doc or two into OnlyOffice and see if you get the weird spacing. It's known Google intentionally makes some stuff not work in FF but they make everything work perfectly in chromium browsers. After experiencing this myself I stopped using Google products if they choose to not make their products work across all browsers.

Any other office package. ONLYOFFICE is free. SoftMaker Office is better and free. LibreOffice. All Online Office versions, like Google Docs. Heck, you can even install Microsoft Office, as it will allow reading files, even if not changing them.

Check out Only Office. Personally I prefer it over Libre Office.

  • Eleven reasons to switch from Windows to Linux | 2021-10-22
However, if you install Windows Terminal you will find that Start menu behavior changes in a highly annoying way that the Terminal developers can’t fix without changes to Windows itself[0].

With Terminal installed, if you search for a directory from the Start menu — hit the Windows key, start typing, press enter — the menu won’t close automatically.

It is because they chose to make terminal as a UWP app, and UWP XAML didn't have support for anything but acrylic which wasn't proper transparency:
  • Small, 1 pixel gap between the screen edge and the window edge in every application. The hide taskbar function still needs some love | 2021-10-20
This is also an issue for the Terminal: it's not possible to run it in full screen on a default Windows 11 installation without a white line at the bottom:
